Fox Rent A Car - Rental Policies - Cagayan De Oro International Airport


Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regard to age, passport, and license requirements. Cost PHP 500.00/ per day. Unauthorized drivers are prohibited from driving the rental car. Insurance and Protection Packages shall not cover any Unauthorized Drivers.
AGE
The minimum age is 25.
A Young Driver Fee will apply for each driver between the ages of 21 and 24. Cost PHP 500.00/per day, including tax. A Senior Driver Fee will apply for each driver aged 61 to 75 at PHP500.00/per day, including tax. Driver over 75 is not allowed to drive.
Maximum age is 75.
Cancellation
If you made a reservation directly with Fox Rent a Car at www.foxrentacar.com or our call center, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Fox does not charge a cancellation fee but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed. If you made a reservation through another provider (Expedia, Priceline etc.) please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.
CURRENCY CONVERSION

The estimated total is displayed in U.S. Dollars. The actual rate you pay will be calculated by converting the U.S. Dollar (USD) amount into the local currency using a published exchange rate established by the local rental company. When converted, the amount will best represent the original quote. However, due to currency fluctuation variances may be unavoidable. Your credit or debit card company may convert the amount back into USD at a lower rate, and may apply additional conversion fees and surcharges. Because conversion rates may differ, the final total USD charge to your credit or debit card may be higher than the USD total rate estimated on this website.
Delivery and Collection Service is available within the City Limits Only. Out of Town Delivery is not available. Delivery & Collect fees: Up to 10 kilometers from EUROPCAR station: PHP 2,000 and Over 10 kilometers from EUROPCAR station: PHP 2,000 + PHP 100 per kilometer. Deliver and Collect is ON REQUEST. Pick-up service is available during normal business hours. To schedule your pick-up time or make additional arrangements, please email or call our local rental station directly. Once picked up and back at the station, Europcar staff will complete your paperwork and have you on the road in no time. Pick-up service is ON REQUEST and may incur ADDITIONAL CHARGES. A drivers license must be written in English. A non-English drivers license requires an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an Official English Translation from the consulate/embassy of issuing country. IDP is valid only when accompanied with the Renters local drivers license. A Foreign drivers license is valid for a maximum of 90 days from the date of arrival in the Philippines. A foreign driver who plans to drive and stay longer than 90 days must get a local drivers license from Land Transportation Office (LTO). All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 2 years. A passport is mandatory for foreign Renters. Two (2) Philippines Government National IDs are required for locals in absence of a Passport. Additional IDs may be required if the Renter fails to meet the mandatory rental requirement, Europcar will refuse to release the vehicle and the rental is subject to Cancellation Charges.
MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be canceled. FOX will not be responsible for any canceled reservations.
Europcar Philippines does not issue refunds for unused days nor for charges paid directly on arrival in the event of the vehicle returning earlier than booked.

GAS
The fuel Policy is full tank to full tank. Any tanks that are not full at the time of rental end shall be calculated accordingly with a 10% refueling fee. In any case that incorrect fuel is loaded in the tank (i.e. diesel to gas tank; or gas to diesel tank), you will be responsible for all the expenses incurred for draining the tank and repair of any damages to the vehicle or costs to restore it to the condition in which it was released.
No Inter-Island Trip is allowed and the vehicle is not allowed to be driven outside the Philippines. It is not allowed to travel to areas where roads are not passable for cars or vans, especially flooded, lahar areas, mountain trails; or shipment of the vehicle via ferry or airplane. In the event you violated this condition, it may invalidate any insurance protection coverages and you shall pay a penalty amounting to PHP 50,000.00 and the vehicle is subject for repossession.

Honoring Reservations
Reservations will be honored for a minimum of one hour after the confirmed pickup date and time. (Unless you call prior to the scheduled arrival time.)
If the booking is paid online, the branch will wait until closing time.
If the booking is to pay at pickup time the branch will wait a maximum of one hour (unless you call)
If a flight number is provided, the branch will wait until closing time. If they close, they will give you the car the next day.
For pay-upon-arrival reservations, you must contact the location directly to inform them of the delay and prior to the scheduled arrival time for the car to be held.
Fox Call Center is unable to assist in these matters. See SHUTTLE policy for a location contact number. Every effort will be made to accommodate based on fleet availability. The location will confirm at time of contact.
Europcar offers Protection Packages such as Basic, Medium, and Premium Protection.

Basic Protection limits your liability up to an excess amount.

For US and CANADA Residents, you may already be covered by Basic Protections so we did not include it in the rental price. Please bring proof of your basic protections and USA or CANADA Residency to the rental stations. If you do need basic protections you can purchase it from us and avoid paying for damage to your vehicle with no additional out-of-pocket expense & no increase to your personal policy due to an incident.

Medium Protection reduces your financial liability in case of damage to the vehicle as a result of a collision, theft, or attempted theft. It also protects you in the event of damage to the windscreen, headlights, or tires.

Premium Protections waives your financial liability (Zero Excess) in case of damage to the vehicle, windscreen, mirrors, headlights, and/or tires as a result of a collision, theft, or attempted theft of the rented vehicle.

By purchasing Medium or Premium Protection, you are also covered by Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - Medical and Death benefits for bodily injury resulting from a vehicle accident. You are covered of accidental death benefits up to PHP 200,000.00 per person based on your vehicle seating capacity and medical/hospital reimbursement up to PHP 20,000.00 per person based on your vehicle seating capacity.

By purchasing any Europcar Protection Package, your rented vehicle is covered of compulsory third party liability insurance. You are covered up to PHP 100,000.00. Third-Party Death Claim Accident, Excess Third Party Bodily Injury up to PHP 450,000 medical/hospital reimbursement per accident, and Property Damage up to PHP 500,000.00 per accident.

Theft Excess: For Economy (Toyota Vios or Similar)-PHP 40,000.00, for Compact (Toyota Altis or Similar)-PHP 50,000.00, for Intermediate-Van (Toyota Innova or Similar)-PHP 60,000.00, for Executive Sedan (Toyota Camry or Similar)-PHP 80,000.00, for Luxury Van (Toyota Super Grandia or Similar)-PHP 80,000.00.
Unlimited
When and where applicable, Local Laws and Regulations shall supersede any and all arrangements made for reservations with Europcar Philippines, Europcar in the Renter's home/originating country or any of its authorized bookers. If any reservations have been prepaid (in part or in full), Europcar Philippines shall not be liable to refund or reimburse any unused portion of the paid rental. You must claim any refunds directly with the booking party or website where you have made reservation and payment.
One-way rentals are not offered.

Payment or Deposit via CASH, DEBIT CARD or CREDIT CARDS are accepted. CASH must be in PHILIPPINE PESO.

A fixed deposit amount of PHP10,000.00 must be settled when you pick up the vehicle. The Cash Deposit will be kept in the station and returned during vehicle check-in. For Credit Card deposits, it will be deducted outright. Credit card pre-authorization is not available. The credit card deposit refund may take 2-3 weeks to process. Posting or reflection of the amount to the cardholder's account varies per issuing bank and may take up to 90 Days. To expedite the posting or reflection of the amount, we advise you to contact your card issuing bank and send a copy of our refund confirmation provided by our acquiring bank. Due to fluctuating foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges, we cannot be held responsible for any difference between the deposited amount and the amount refunded. We highly recommend Cash Deposit, to eliminate the credit card chargeback process.

ACCEPTED CREDIT CARDS - American Express, Bank Card, Carte Bleu, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover Card, Eurocard, Japanese Credit Bureau Credit Card, Maestro, Master Card, Solo, Union Pay, Universal Air Travel Card, Visa Electron and Visa. Cash Payment and Deposit are Acceptable.
Rules -

Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program: Metro Manila and other areas such as Baguio City, Cabanatuan, Cavite, and Dagupan implements the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or Number Coding Scheme. It is strictly imposed in most cities in the areas from 7 AM until 7 PM wherein vehicles with plates ending with a particular digit is banned on the road on given days (1 or 2 Mondays, 3 or 4 Tuesdays, 5 or 6 Wednesdays, 7 or 8 Thursdays, 9 or 0 Fridays). In case you will request for a number coding vehicle replacement, you must arrange it during the booking process or pick-up of the vehicle. For more information about the number coding and vehicle replacement arrangement, please contact us directly at reservations@europcar.com.ph.

The vehicle must NOT be used under the following circumstances: 1. For any illegal purpose; 2. To carry more passengers than can properly be accommodated by seats/seatbelts in the vehicle and/or carry a greater capacity for which it was built/designed, 3. On beaches, through dams, rivers, or any bodies of water, 4. On mountain trails, rough terrain, or off-road paths; 5. For any race, contest, or performance test of any kind, 6. To transport any commercial goods; 7. For subletting, carpooling, or hiring the vehicle and/or for carrying passengers or cargo for payment of any kind; 8. When the driver is incapacitated in any way or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, 9. To transport any animal inside the vehicle, 10. In breach of any legislation, regulations, rules, or by-laws, especially those related to road traffic.

Speeding, parking, and other endorsements/fines are the responsibility of the Renter in full. Europcar Philippines accepts no responsibility for any fine or payment. The renter is obliged to inform Europcar Philippines of any fines or parking tickets issued while the vehicle is being rented. Where Europcar Philippines receive a fine that was not settled when issued, the total cost of the fine, plus an administration fee will be charged to the main drivers credit card.

Renter is allowed a 30-minute period of grace provided that the vehicle is returned within our hours of operation, exceeding this will pay any extra charges directly at the local rate.

Renter will return the vehicle in the same good operating condition to the return station by the date and time specified in the Rental Agreement (or sooner upon demand). If the returned vehicle is deemed by the Rental Agent to be in need of deep cleaning due to excess soilage, pet hairs, smoke odor, smoke residue, etc. a minimum cleaning fee of PHP 1, 500.00 will be imposed to you. If necessary cleaning incurs downtime or extraordinary measure, additional fees will be charged to you.

Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or additional fees.

Seat belts and child seats are mandatory by law.

Rates that are impacted by a website technical issue, database issue, or other means will not be honored by the location if the rate display was inaccurate due to a technical issue or tampering issue to change the rate display.

After collecting your luggage, proceed to the Arrival Exit Area where you will find Europcar staff holding a placard with the Renters Name. If you are unable to locate a Europcar representative, please call 917 523 1875 to announce your arrival. When using an international cellular service include country code 63.
There are toll roads in the Philippines. The cost of tolls varies and is the responsibility of the renter.
