Cancellation
If you made a reservation directly with Fox Rent a Car at www.foxrentacar.com or our call center, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Fox does not charge a cancellation fee but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed. If you made a reservation through another provider (Expedia, Priceline etc.) please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

Currency
The estimated total is displayed in U.S. Dollars. The actual rate you pay will be calculated by converting the U.S. Dollar (USD) amount into the local currency using a published exchange rate established by the local rental company. When converted, the amount will best represent the original quote. However, due to currency fluctuation variances may be unavoidable. Your credit or debit card company may convert the amount back into USD at a lower rate and may apply additional conversion fees and surcharges. Because conversion rates may differ, the final total USD charge to your credit or debit card may be higher than the USD total rate estimated on this website.

Duplicate Reservations
MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be canceled. FOX will not be responsible for any canceled reservations.

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of rental to avoid refueling charges.
Driving restrictions - Driving is restricted to Island of Jamaica.
Honoring Reservations
Reservations will be honored for a minimum of 1 hour after the confirmed pickup date and time.
If the booking is paid online, the branch will wait until closing time.
If the booking is to pay at pickup time the branch will wait maximum one hour (unless you call)
If a flight number is provided, the branch will wait until closing time. If they close, they will give you the car next day.
For pay upon arrival reservations, you must contact the location directly to inform them of the delay and prior to the scheduled arrival time for the car to be held.
Fox Call Center is unable to assist in these matters. See SHUTTLE policy for a location contact number. Every effort will be made to accommodate based on fleet availability. Location will confirm at time of contact.

Third party liability Insurance is included in the rental rates if the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and road traffic law.
Collision damage waiver is optional providing the following condition is met.
Written proof of coverage for the Country of Jamaica from a third party is presented at time of rental. The presentation of a credit card or personal auto insurance is not proof of coverage.
Proof of coverage must mention - the specific type of card covered / the maximum amount of the coverage / the maximum rental duration of the coverage / and must specify that coverage is applicable in Jamaica.
In order to use the coverage provided with a credit card, all charges associated with the rental (including deposits) must be placed on that same card.
Notes -
Rental Vehicle Insurance provided by Allstate / AAA, and other insurance companies are not applicable to vehicle rental in the territory of Jamaica. Credit card coverage is only accepted for sedans.
CDW - Collision Damage Waiver reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle its parts and accessories except for theft attempted theft or vandalism provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Exclusions apply. CDW insurance deductible is USD/1200-1800. Cost USD 12-14/ per day. Deductible and cost amount depends on sedan/specialty vehicle rented. SCDW - Super Collision Damage Waiver reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle its parts and accessories except for theft attempted theft or vandalism provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Exclusions apply. SCDW insurance deductible is USD 750-1000. Cost USD 18-20/ per day. Deductible and cost amount depends on sedan/specialty vehicle rented.
THW - Theft Waiver reduces your financial liability for loss of or damage to the rental vehicle due to theft attempted theft or vandalism including its parts and accessories provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Exclusions apply. Theft Protection Coverage reduces your liability against theft to USD 800-1500. Cost USD 10 -12/ per day. Amounts depend on sedan/specialty vehicle rented.
WWI - Windscreen / Glass / Lights / Tire Protection - if purchased reduces your excess amount to zero in case of damage to the windscreen / glass / lights / and tires in circumstances of normal use of the vehicle during the rental. Exclusions Apply. Cost USD 7/per day

With the purchase of Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) credit card AUTHORIZATION equal to the estimated amount of the rental plus an additional AUTHORIZATION in the amount of the SCDW deductible is required at time of rental.
With the purchase of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) credit card AUTHORIZATION equal to the estimated amount of the rental plus an additional AUTHORIZATION in the amount of the CDW deductible is required at time of rental.
When declining coverage - a credit card AUTHORIZATION equal to estimated amount of the rental plus an additional AUTHORIZATION of USD/2000-3000 (amount depends on sedan/specialty vehicle rented) will be required at time of rental.
Authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicle or late charges.
If you have purchased or are relying on a third-party collision protection and decline the purchase of direct coverage - you will still be liable for the full value of the vehicle and must settle all charges directly with the rental company and claim back from card issuer or underwriter.
Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return.
NO REFUNDS ARE MADE FOR EARLY VEHICLE RETURNS OR CONTRACT CANCELLATIONS.
