Cancellation
If you made a reservation directly with Fox Rent a Car at www.foxrentacar.com or our call center, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Fox does not charge a cancellation fee but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed. If you made a reservation through another provider (Expedia, Priceline etc.) please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

CURRENCY CONVERSION

The estimated total is displayed in U.S. Dollars. The actual rate you pay will be calculated by converting the U.S. Dollar (USD) amount into the local currency using a published exchange rate established by the local rental company. When converted, the amount will best represent the original quote. However, due to currency fluctuation variances may be unavoidable. Your credit or debit card company may convert the amount back into USD at a lower rate, and may apply additional conversion fees and surcharges. Because conversion rates may differ, the final total USD charge to your credit or debit card may be higher than the USD total rate estimated on this website.

A driving license valid in Germany. Photocopies or digital documents are not accepted. Driving licenses from non-EU/EEA countries are only accepted on presentation of a translation or an international driving license. This does not apply if the driving license complies with the Conven-tion on Road Traffic of November 8, 1968 (Annex 6). Driving licenses from Andorra, Hong Kong, Monaco, New Zealand, San Marino, Switzerland and Senegal are also accepted without a translation. The translation must be provided by a recognized automobile club or a body des-ignated by the Federal Ministry of Transport.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be canceled. FOX will not be responsible for any canceled reservations.

Prohibited countries for the vehicle category Selection, as well as for vehicle categories Full Size (except minibus of this category) and higher: Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

Reservations will be honored for a minimum of 1 hour after the confirmed pickup date and time.

If the booking is paid online, the branch will wait until closing time.
If the booking is to pay at pickup time the branch will wait maximum one hour (unless you call)
If a flight number is provided, the branch will wait until closing time. If they close, they will give you the car next day.
For pay upon arrival reservations, you must contact the location directly to inform them of the delay and prior to the scheduled arrival time for the car to be held.

Deductible for collision damage / fully comprehensive insurance (CDW) / theft protection (THW) / personal occupant protection (PAI) - fees vary depending on the type of car and the station. Further information is available from your Europcar rental office.

One-way rentals are available between participating Europcar locations. When offered the one-way fee will be reflected in the total price.

CHARGING TRAILER: EMobG will provide a charging pendant or a charging card from EMobG's partner Shell Recharge (hereinafter referred to as "charging fob"). In the event of loss an amount of EUR 50.00 applies upon return of the vehicle.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT FOR DEPOSIT - Europcar: EURO 300. Credit Card for all categories and rental lengths / Girocard (Maestro, VPay Card) for passenger cars up to the Full Size category for a rental period of maximum four weeks and for vans for a rental period of maximum four weeks / Cash is possible for a fee of EURO 50 and for passenger cars of the categories Mini, Economy, Compact and Lower Middle Class and Middle Class for a rental period of maximum four weeks.

NOTE: The possiblity to do a cash deposit will end June 30 2025. A separate deposit of EUR 100.00 is payable for the use of the charging trailer, which is handed over when you hire an electric vehicle.

Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or additional fees.

Rates that are impacted by a website technical issue, database issue or other means will not be honored by the location if the rate display was inaccurate due to a technical issue or tampering issue to change the rate display.
When arriving at the car rental counter please have your voucher and documents ready (e.g. driver license, ID card). This will help to reduce the pickup time of your car rental.
