Cancellation
If you made a reservation directly with Fox Rent a Car at www.foxrentacar.com or our call center, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Fox does not charge a cancellation fee but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed. If you made a reservation through another provider (Expedia, Priceline etc.) please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.
CURRENCY CONVERSION

The estimated total is displayed in U.S. Dollars. The actual rate you pay will be calculated by converting the U.S. Dollar (USD) amount into the local currency using a published exchange rate established by the local rental company. When converted, the amount will best represent the original quote. However, due to currency fluctuation variances may be unavoidable. Your credit or debit card company may convert the amount back into USD at a lower rate, and may apply additional conversion fees and surcharges. Because conversion rates may differ, the final total USD charge to your credit or debit card may be higher than the USD total rate estimated on this website.
A valid driver's license and major credit card must be presented upon arrival at the rental counter. The name on the credit card and the driver's license must match.

International renters must also present a valid passport and driver's license from their country of residence. If the license is non-Latin alphabetized, an international driver's license will be required.

The renter must have held their driving license for at least 1 year.
MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be canceled. FOX will not be responsible for any canceled reservations.

Vehicles must be returned with the SAME AMOUNT of fuel they had at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.
The vehicles CITY CARS Mini, Economy, Economy Elite, and Compact can only circulate WITHIN THE CITY without canceling any Interprovincial or interdepartmental limit, if the client fails to comply with this restriction, the penalty is USD 100/per day.

The use of vehicles must be within the geographical limits of Bolivia, and not approach borders more than 200 km and designated areas.

You should also not drive on cobbled and dirt roads that compromise the use of the vehicle.

Vehicles can enter the city of Uyuni, but CAN'T FOR ANY REASON CIRCULATE WITHIN THE SALAR DE UYUNI.

In case of non-compliance with any of the points mentioned above, a fine of USD 1500 will be applied for economy SUVs, Economy Crossovers, and Intermediate Elite SUVs. A USD 2000 fine will apply for the Full-size Sedan, Full-size Van, Pickup Trucks, Standard Elite SUV, Intermediate SUV, Intermediate Crossover, Full-size Crossover, Premium Van, Standard SUV, Oversized Van, and Special Van. A USD 3900 fine applies for CITY CARS Mini, Economy, Economy Elite, and Compact.

In case of non-compliance with any of the points mentioned above, a penalty will be applied.
Honoring Reservations
Reservations will be honored for a minimum of 1 hour after the confirmed pickup date and time.
If the booking is paid online, the branch will wait until closing time.
If the booking is to pay at pickup time the branch will wait for a maximum of one hour (unless you call)
If a flight number is provided, the branch will wait until closing time. If they close, they will give you the car next day.
For pay upon arrival reservations, you must contact the location directly to inform them of the delay and prior to the scheduled arrival time for the car to be held.
Fox Call Center is unable to assist in these matters. See SHUTTLE policy for a location contact number. Every effort will be made to accommodate based on fleet availability. The location will confirm at the time of contact.
INSURANCE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL RATE.

SLI Complementary Civil Liability Insurance limits the client's liability for damages that may be caused to third parties or property. It does not cover injuries to you, passengers or damage to the rented vehicle.

Cost USD 6/day. The deductible varies according to the vehicle category between USD 1,500 - 2,500.

Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage is required for all rentals unless the customer can demonstrate that they have an alternative form of international coverage. If alternative coverage is presented, the customer is responsible for payment of all damages to Europcar Bolivia, and documents will be provided for the customer to make a claim from their alternative insurer.

CDW Collision Damage Waiver reduces your financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle, its parts and accessories, except for damage to tires, windshield, interior damage, theft, attempted theft, or vandalism, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Exclusions apply. .

THW Theft Waiver releases the customer from responsibility for payment of charges resulting from the theft or attempted theft of the vehicle or its accessories. Exclusions apply.

One-way rentals are available between Europcar Bolivia branches, the duration of the rental must be greater than 3 days. The one-way rate will be reflected in the total price.
PAYMENT & DEPOSITS

A CHARGE equal to the estimated rental amount plus an additional DEPOSIT USD 1,500 - 3,000 (amount depends on class rented) is required at time of rental.
