Fox Rent A Car - Rental Policies - Melbourne Airport

All drivers must be listed on the rental agreement.
Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, passport, and license requirements.
Cost: AUD 5.75/per day, plus taxes and fees. Additional driver charge is capped at 7 days.
Minimum age 21.
Drivers must hold a full license to rent a vehicle from Europcar. Probationary or restricted licenses are not acceptable.
Conditions apply for renters under the age of 25.
Age 21 to 24 a Young Driver Surcharge applies. Cost AUD 30.25/per day, plus taxes and fees.
Cancellation
If you made a reservation directly with Fox Rent a Car at www.foxrentacar.com or our call center, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Fox does not charge a cancellation fee but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed. If you made a reservation through another provider (Expedia, Priceline etc.) please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not canceled within a specific time frame. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.
CURRENCY CONVERSION

The estimated total is displayed in U.S. Dollars. The actual rate you pay will be calculated by converting the U.S. Dollar (USD) amount into the local currency using a published exchange rate established by the local rental company. When converted, the amount will best represent the original quote. However, due to currency fluctuation variances may be unavoidable. Your credit or debit card company may convert the amount back into USD at a lower rate, and may apply additional conversion fees and surcharges. Because conversion rates may differ, the final total USD charge to your credit or debit card may be higher than the USD total rate estimated on this website.
Drivers must hold a full license to rent a vehicle from Europcar. Probationary or restricted licenses are not acceptable. Photocopies are not acceptable. International arrivals are recommended to have arranged an International Drivers Permit before travel and provide it with their current country license. Europcar will accept a license from the originating country providing it is in English and clearly demonstrates the expiry date, drivers address, date of birth, and permit conditions. Drivers must also present their Passport on collection.
MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be canceled. FOX will not be responsible for any canceled reservations.

Child Safety Seat Infant. Cost AUD 16.50/per day, plus taxes and fees. Maximum AUD/80, plus taxes and fees
Child Safety Seat Toddler. Cost AUD 16.50/per day, plus taxes and fees. Maximum AUD/80, plus taxes and fees.
GPS. Cost AUD 20.90/per day, plus taxes and fees. Maximum AUD/140, plus taxes and fees.
Hand controls are NOT available at this location.
Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.
Honoring Reservations
Reservations will be honored for a minimum of 1 hour after the confirmed pick-up date and time (or longer if the flight number is advised so Europcar is aware of any unforeseen flight delays).
If the booking is paid online, the branch will wait until closing time.
If the booking is to pay at pickup time the branch will wait for a maximum of one hour (unless you call)
If a flight number is provided, the branch will wait until closing time. If they close, they will give you the car the next day.
For pay upon arrival reservations, you must contact the location directly to inform them of the delay and prior to the scheduled arrival time for the car to be held.
Fox Call Center is unable to assist in these matters. Every effort will be made to accommodate based on fleet availability. The location will confirm at the time of contact.
TPI -Third-party liability insurance is included in the rate and protects against claims for injury/damage you cause to third persons/their property. It does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle.

LDW-Loss Damage Waiver reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle its parts and accessories except for theft attempted theft or vandalism provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Exclusions apply. Cost and deductible vary based on vehicle type rented. Deductible. AUD200-500.
Cost - AUD 24.90 - 67.20/per day plus fees and local taxes.

Basic Emergency Roadside Assistance covering mechanical defects of the vehicle only is included in the rate.
RSA-Roadside Assistance Cover is available to purchase at the time of rental. In addition to the free 24-hour roadside assistance, benefits include refueling the vehicle when the customer has run out of fuel with up to 6 liters of fuel, unlocking the vehicle when the keys or remote control has been locked in the vehicle, changing a wheel as the result of a flat tire, starting the vehicle if the battery is flat because the headlights or interior lights, etc. have been operating when the engine was not running.
Cost AUD6.60/ per day, plus taxes and fees.

Unsealed Road Cover is available to purchase at the time of rental for All-Wheel Drives, 4WDs, and some SUVs. When purchased coverage allows driving on an Unsealed Road as defined in the Terms and Conditions of Rental.
Cost AUD 22/per day, plus taxes and fees.

Snow Cover-Snow coverage is compulsory (AUD22/per day plus fees and taxes) for vehicles traveling above the snow line. If a client travels to the snow fields without purchasing the Snow Coverage they will be liable for all costs associated with any accident or incident. Chains and roof racks for rentals in Australia can be supplied and fitted by the client however any damage caused is the responsibility of the renter and a damage liability fee will apply.
Free kilometers allowance is returned in the rate and confirmation details.
One-way rentals are available between Europcar locations in Australia. When available, the one-way fee will be reflected in the total price.
A charge equal to the estimated amount of the rental plus an additional charge of AUD/200-500 (amount depends on class rented and coverage accepted) is required at the time of rental.

Rates that are impacted by a website technical issue, database issue or other means will not be honored by the location if the rate display was inaccurate due to a technical issue or tampering issue to change the rate display.

After collecting your luggage, exit the airport and proceed directly across the road from Terminal 3, under the PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport Hotel where you will find the Europcar booth. Drivers are responsible for all toll charges throughout Australia.
All tolls incurred by the vehicle when used on any Australian toll road will be billed by an independent tolling provider, Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) directly to the driver. All Europcar vehicles have been registered on RMS e-toll system. For each day that a vehicle uses a toll road, the driver will be charged for each toll point, as well as a service fee of AUD 3.30/per day used.
