CDW - Collision Damage Waiver - is not mandatory but proof of coverage must be provided at the rental counter when declining CDW.

CDW for underage drivers is CAD/22.95 per day with a CAD/2000.00 responsibility.

Regular CDW levels are
BASIC at CAD/19.95 per day with a CAD/1500.00 responsibility and
GOLD at CAD/29.95 per day with a CAD/750.00 responsibility.

Insurance - liability insurance is required by law.
Supplemental liability insurance is available for CAD/7.99 per day.
Glass and tire protection is also available for CAD/6.99 per day.

Minimum age requirement is 23 years with a valid drivers license and a major credit card in their own name. 25 years of age for premium cars and vans. Drivers 23-24 years of age are subject to an under age fee of CAD/9.99 per day as well as underage LDW insurance.

One way drop off is permitted to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Billy Bishop Toronto Island Airport (YTZ) only. CAD/75.00 fee applies.

If your reservation was confirmed directly with FOX Rent A Car by utilizing the reservation call center at 1-800-225-4369, or through the FOX Rent A Car web page at www.foxrentacar.com, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. FOX does not charge a cancellation fee, but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.


If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame.Cancellation of a reservation directly thru FOX Rent A Car when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.

Vehicles are rented with full tank of gas and must be returned full. Otherwise a refeuling charge of CAD/2.25 per liter will apply.

Kilometers are unlimited up to 3000 kilometers as long as the vehicle stays within the province of Ontario. If border restrictions are not met, then unlimited kilometers are voided. For vehicles traveling outside of the province, kilometers are 200 km per day from the beginning of the rental with additional kilometers at CAD/00.20 per km and CAD/00.49 per km for SUVs and mini vans.

Additional drivers are allowed but must meet the same requirements as the primary driver. Location policies that apply to the primary driver also apply to the additional driver. Additional driver fee is CAD/7.00 per day. Spouse charge is CAD/15.00 flat one time fee.

Renter must present a valid driving license from their country of origin. Renter must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not printed in the Roman alphabet. Renter must have a valid passport.

Local renters must provide proof of transferable insurance with their own name on it at the time of rental.
