MEET ALL STANDARD RENTAL QUALIFICATIONS

DEBIT CARD MUST HAVE A VISA OR MASTER CARD LOGO (Debit Card and Drivers License must be in same name). Debit Card must have available funds of USD/500.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges to be taken as a deposit at time of rental applicable on all class models.

Upon return of the vehicle unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor used to secure those funds at time of rental. Due to your Banks processing standards of Debit Card transactions it can take up to 10 days for a credit to appear back on your account.

Major credit cards: Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name. Credit card must have available funds of USD/300.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit applicable on all class models.NOTE: We do not accept the miniature key tag style credit cards.NOTE: Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Cash rentals: Cash rentals are not accepted as a form of payment at time of rental.

Prepaid cards: Prepaid Visa/MasterCard is not accepted as a form of payment at time of rental.

Payment at car return: Debit cards, prepaid Visa/MasterCard, and ATM always accepted as payment upon return

Optional Insurance Required when renting a vehicle unless customer provides evidence of Car Rental Insurance coverage. Details available at rental counter.

CDW/LDW COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER/LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER
We offer to all renters Collision Damage Waiver/Loss Damage Waiver, which for an additional daily charge relieves the renter of all financial responsibility for the loss or damage to the rental car (except for the deductible), as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost is USD/5.95 to USD/25.95 per rental day depending on the vehicle type - the exact amount is available with your car quote. Insurance deductibles will apply depending on the vehicle type.

AUTO LIABILITY - SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY COVERAGE
We offer to all renters AUTO LIABILITY COVERAGE SLC. This coverage is excess over underlying insurance specific within your signed rental agreement up to USD/10,000, USD/20,000, USD/10,000 dollars. SLC Protects you against claims made by third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating the rental vehicle. SLC does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle. Cost: USD/5.95 per rental day.

Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 21.

One-way rentals are available between locations in SAN JUAN, CAROLINA, BAYAMON, HUMACAO, CAGUAS, PONCE, BAYAMON, MAYAGUEZ and AGUADILLA. Drop charges vary depending on the location. You must request a quote before you return the vehicle in another location.

If vehicle is returned to a different office as stated on the rental agreement (contract), renter will be charged the current one-way drop fee.

If your reservation was confirmed directly with FOX Rent A Car by utilizing the reservation call center at 1-800-225-4369, or through the FOX Rent A Car web page at www.foxrentacar.com, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. FOX does not charge a cancellation fee, but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.


If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame.Cancellation of a reservation directly thru FOX Rent A Car when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.

We are pleased to offer roadside assistance in PUERTO RICO. Simply call the emergency roadside service (Caribbean Flatbed Service) number located on the front windshield of the vehicle, numbers are: (787) 649-8283 and (787) 637-2144.

In Puerto Rico, state laws require children four (4) years of age or younger, less than 60 pounds in weight to be in a child restraint device. There is a USD/4.99 per day fee for child seats.

Vehicles must remain within the Puerto Rico 76 municipalities.

NOTE: You may not transport our vehicles into the municipalities of Vieques nor Culebra, Insurance coverage is not available if there were a mechanical failure at these small islands (municipalities of Puerto Rico).

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age and valid drivers license. An additional driver charge of USD/4.95 per day per additional driver will apply.

Length of rental - Rental agreements (contract) cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract). The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace period - A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement (contract) at the time of rental. There is a 59 minutes grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After two hours, a full-day charge will apply.

Rental Requirements All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply: A valid drivers license (U.S., or Country License accompanied with an International license and passport), current home address (not P.O.Box), a current home and local contact number, and second contact phone number (cell or business), Social Security Number (will not appear on the contract) and a OFAC Search will be performed.

Vehicles not returned at the expected date return stated on the contract will be considered missing and reported to the local police.

Minimun rental is 24 hours (1 day)

CDW/SLC does not cover merchandise, cargo or personal items inside the vehicle.

Rates do not include fuel.

NOTE - The latest reservation time is 1/2 hour prior to closing.

Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name. A license recovery fee of USD/2.50 per day will be charged on all rentals. Actual charges will be calculated at the time of rental.
