Debit Cards
In order to use a Debit Card as a method of payment at Time of Rental the following policy must be met -
1. Debit Card must have a Visa, Master Card or Discover logo.
2. Debit Card and Drivers License must be in same name.
3. Renters must present a return airline ticket/confirmation - actual or electronic ticket in renters name - OR If you do not present a return airline ticket/confirmation or your primary residence is within 150 miles of the rental location FOX will check your credit through Equifax Credit Information Services. The inquiry is posted on the customers credit report and may have an effect on the customers credit evaluation. In the event that a customers credit inquiry fails to meet our Debit Card criteria, the customer will not be allowed to rent unless they provide a major credit card in their own name. Address as stated on renters valid drivers license will be referenced to determine renters primary residence.
4. Debit Card must have available funds to be taken as a deposit at time of rental in the amount of -
Return Airline Ticket - estimated amount of rental charges plus USD/150.00.
Credit Inquiry Thru Equifax - renter lives within 150 miles of rental location - USD/150.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges to be taken as a deposit at time of rental. Rental on a credit inquiry is permitted of vehicle classes Economy, Compact, Midsize, Standard, Full-size and Minivan only. Upon return of the vehicle unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor. Due to your Banks processing standards for Debit Card transactions it can take up to 14 days for a credit to appear on your account. FOX will not be responsible for any returned check s or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.
NOTE - FOX does not allow rentals using a Debit Card to add additional drivers to the rental agreement.
NOTE - Our debit card policy complies with all applicable U.S. federal and State Laws.
NOTE - While debit cards are not accepted for a FOX Pay Now reservation, if we accepted your debit card in error to book your Pay Now reservation and the card is lost, stolen, or replaced by card issuer and cannot be presented at the time of rental, we will accept a valid drivers license and credit card in the same name as the original reservation.

Prepaid cards
Prepaid Visa/MasterCard is not accepted as a form of payment at Time of Rental.

Major credit cards
1. Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name.
2. Credit card must have available funds of estimated amount of rental charges plus USD/150.00.
3. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit against rental charges. All required available funds will be captured as a deposit at time of rental. Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 business days to appear on your account when using this form of payment.
NOTE - Address as stated on renters valid drivers license will be referenced to determine renters primary residence.

NOTE - We do not accept the miniature key tag style credit cards.
NOTE - If the credit card you used to book your FOX Pay Now reservation is lost, stolen, or replaced by card issuer and cannot be presented at the time of rental, we will accept a valid drivers license and credit card in the same name as the original reservation.

Payment at car return
Debit cards, prepaid Visa/MasterCard, and cash always accepted as payment upon return.

Cash rentals
NOTE - Cash is not accepted as a method of payment at time of rental at our Phoenix AZ. or Oakland CA., locations.
In order to utilize CASH as opposed to major credit card as a qualifying Method of Payment at Time of Rental, the following seven conditions must be satisfied -
1. Have a reservation - Available on rental of vehicle class Economy thru Full Size only.
2. Present a current valid Passport from a country other than the United States.
3. Present a valid International License along with a current valid license from same country as passport.
4. Present a return airline itinerary with confirmation of return travel date. Vehicle must be returned prior to return date and time of departure as stated on flight confirmation itinerary.
5. In U.S. currency, leave a Cash Deposit of USD/250.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges.
6. A U.S. Contact Phone Number - an operating phone to be contacted in case of emer
SHUTTLE
Upon arrival at the Miami International Airport, please follow signs to the Rental Car Center. Once you arrive at the Rental Car Center please proceed to the left and look for the sign OFF AIRPORT RENTAL CAR SHUTTLE. Proceed past that sign to the next sign that indicates SHUTTLES and follow that outside to pickup area 1 or 2. You will then board the Fox Rent A Car Shuttle for a two minute ride to the Fox Miami location.

The Fox Shuttle runs approximately every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Optional Insurance is not required to rent a vehicle. Details available at rental counter.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) FOX offers to all renters LDW, Loss Damage Waiver, which for an additional daily charge relieves the renter of all financial responsibility for the loss or damage to the rental car, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost - USD/9.00 to USD/23.00 per rental day depending on the vehicle type and rental location - the exact amount is available with your car quote.

Rental Liability Protection (RLP) Primary insurance protecting you against claims made by third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained while operating the rental vehicle, up to the required financial responsibility limits of the state in which the vehicle is rented. RLP does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle. Cost - USD/12.99 per rental day.
The renter is financially responsible for all damages not covered under the liability policy including, but not limited to the FOX rental vehicles full value.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) - Provides coverage for 3rd party automobile claims for the difference between the primary liability limits provided under the renters own personal policy and a maximum combined single limit of one million dollars for bodily injury and/or property damage but does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a rental vehicle. Cost - USD/12.44 per rental day.

Personal Accident/Personal Effects Protection (PAC) - Personal Accident Coverage provides accidental death and accidental medical expense benefit to the renter and their passenger (s). The death and medical expense benefit will both pay in addition to any other coverage that might be applicable to the renter or passengers. Personal Effects Coverage offers limited protection against damage to personal effects owned by the renter, as well as immediate family members of the renter, who permanently reside in the renters household and are traveling with the renter. Cost - USD/4.99 per rental day.

Roadside Assistance Program (RSA) - If you purchase our Roadside Service Assistance (RSA) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of USD/400.00 per incident. You may purchase RSA at USD/3.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing (within 25 miles of occurrence), winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service, and emergency fuel delivery (up to two gallons). Mexico Insurance - FOX offers the purchase of Mexico Insurance (Major credit card only) on vehicle rentals of economy thru full size only. Mexico insurance can be purchased at the time of rental prior to entering Mexico at the following corporate locations - Los Angeles, San Diego or Phoenix. Coverage applies only in Mexico cities/states closest to the California and Arizona borders. Rates start at USD/26.00 per 24 hour day including tax. All other vehicles are not allowed to travel into Mexico.
Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 19. Minimum age for renters and drivers on government orders is 18. Renters and drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of USD/14.00 per day.
One-way rentals are available between FOX CORPORATE locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Washington only. Vehicle rentals originating in the state of Florida can only be driven with in the state of Florida. Drop charges vary depending on the location, please contact the Corporate Location at 1 (800) 225-4369 for charges prior to return.

Booking & Discounts

  • FOX Pay Now program discounts apply to (time and mileage) base-rates only.
  • Taxes, fees, surcharges and optional items (Insurances/coverages, car seats, GPS, additional drivers, etc.) are not discounted when using Pay Now program.
  • Optional items (insurance/coverage, car seats, GPS, additional drivers, etc.) may be added at the time of a Pay Now reservation, but must be paid for separately upon pick up at the rental counter.
  • Taxes, fees and surcharges are calculated separately and charged at the time of booking.
  • The FOX Pay-Now discount may not be combined with any other discount or program (Fox Corporate programs, third-party coupons, etc.)
  • Except as set forth in these Pay Now policies, all Standard FOX credit/debit card rules and policies apply at the time of pickup. See location policy pages for full details.
  • **If you booked your FOX Pay Now reservation at a third party website, online travel agency or other non-FOX site, you will need to contact your original booking source to manage your reservation.

Fees/Cancellations

  • FOX Pay Now Reservation cancellation fee is $25 if cancelled within/less than 12 hours prior to scheduled pick-up time. If your time and mileage is less than $25, you will forfeit the full amount of your time and mileage charges.
  • FOX Pay Now Reservation cancellation fee is $15 if cancelled more than 12 hours from scheduled pick up time. If your time and mileage is less than $15, you will forfeit the full amount of your time and mileage charges.
  • Your FOX Pay Now Reservation will be held for 12 hours maximum after your scheduled pick up time. If you fail to pick up (no show) the vehicle booked with a FOX Pay Now Reservation you will be charged a $25 no show fee. If your time and mileage is less than $25, you will forfeit
    the full amount of your time and mileage charges.
  • If the credit card you used to book your Pay Now reservation is lost, stolen, or replaced by card issuer and cannot be presented at the time of rental, we will waive the cancellation fee at the time of pick up.

Reservations & Modifications

  • FOX Pay Now reservations cannot be modified. Please cancel and rebook your Pay Now reservation at foxrentacar.com or at (800) 225-4369, Ext. 1. If you cancel your Pay Now reservation a cancellation fee will apply. The fee is $15 or $25 depending on the cancellation time/pickup time. See Fees/Cancellations section for full information.
  • Changes to your pick-up and/or drop-off dates or location for Pay Now reservations will require a cancellation of the original reservation and re-booking of a new reservation at current rates.
  • Optional items (insurances/coverages, car seats, GPS, additional drivers, etc.) may be cancelled or added at the counter with no reservation modification fee upon pick up.
  • We DO NOT accept debit cards for Pay Now reservations on foxrentacar.com, however if your card is accepted by the website and you do not qualify at the time of pickup, we will issue a full refund for your Pay Now reservation.
  • Except as set forth in these Pay Now policies, all Standard FOX credit/debit card rules and policies apply at the time of pickup. See location policy pages for full details.
  • All Standard FOX policies regarding Early/Late Returns, Extensions and 3rd Party Reservations made on a partner site (booking site or outside source) apply to FOX PAY NOW Reservations.
  • **If you booked your FOX Pay Now reservation at a third party website, online travel agency or other non-FOX site, you will need to contact your original booking source to cancel or rebook your reservation.


General Rules

  • Availability of the FOX Pay Now rates or discount is limited, is subject to change without notice, may be subject to blackout dates and is void where prohibited by law.
  • You must meet standard FOX renter, age, driver and credit requirements.
  • If using a credit card for payment, you must present the same credit card used to secure your FOX Pay Now Reservation at the rental counter.
  • 24 hour advance reservation is required. Rental periods are based on 24 hour periods, beginning at time of pick up.
  • FOX Pay Now program is only available at FOX Rent A Car corporate locations, and subject to change without notice.
  • Except as set forth in these Pay Now policies, all Standard FOX credit/debit card rules and policies apply at the time of pickup. See location policy pages for full details.
  • All Standard FOX policies regarding Early/Late Returns, Extensions and 3rd Party Reservations made on a partner site (booking site or outside source) also apply to FOX PAY NOW Reservations.

If your reservation was confirmed directly with FOX Rent A Car by utilizing the reservation call center at 1-800-225-4369, or through the FOX Rent A Car web page at www.foxrentacar.com, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. FOX does not charge a cancellation fee, but does request a cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.


If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame. Cancellation of a reservation directly thru FOX Rent A Car when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.
Reservations will be honored for a period of twelve hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

EARLY LATE RETURN - Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to a higher daily and/or weekly charge as follow
Early Return - The rate will increase by USD/15.00 per day not to exceed the estimated total at the time of rental.
Later Return - The rate will increase by USD/15.00 per day each day the vehicle is kept beyond the return date at the time of rental.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.
Fuel Policy - Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.
Roadside Assistance FOX is pleased to offer roadside assistance in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming only. Child Safety Seats In California, state laws require children eight years of age or younger less than 80 pounds in weight to be in a child restraint device. In Arizona, children five years of age or younger must be in a child restraint device. Driver with children must refer to the current state and city law regarding child passenger safety laws. There is an USD/8.99 per day fee for child seats. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will be applied.

Hand control vehicles FOX Rent a Car locations provide rental services to accommodate all customers and comply with the stipulations of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Please call our toll free number 800-225-4369 and speak to a Customer Service Representative for any special equipment or requests. Reasonable advance notice is required, our usual need is 72 hours but this period may vary.

GPS Units are available for rent at USD/9.99 per day or at a discounted USD/49.99 per week and USD/149.99 per month. GPS Units are available for just USD/7.99 per day on one-way rentals. Please ask for details at the time of rental.

XM Radio XM Radio is only available on select rental car classes including luxury vehicles. Please ask your local rental agent to confirm if the vehicle you are renting (or wish to rent) is available with activated XM Radio.
Vehicle rentals originating in the states Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and Washington can only be driven within the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Vehicles originated in Florida must remain in the state of Florida.

FOX vehicle may be driven into Mexico, but only if you have purchased Mexico insurance. See MEXICO INSURANCE

Customers may drive a FOX vehicle into Canada, but only if the vehicle was rented from the FOX Seattle location.
FOX vehicles are allowed in Mexico cities/states closest to the California and Arizona boarders only when purchasing Mexico Insurance. Please refer to the Mexico Insurance section for the area of coverage that is allowed.
Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age and license requirements. Additional drivers are not permitted when using a Debit Card or Cash as payment at the time of rental. Charges for Additional Drivers
USD/10.00 per day in Colorado, Florida, Nevada and Utah.
USD/8.00 per day in Arizona and Washington.

There is no charge:
(1) at California locations
(2) for the renters spouse, same-sex spouse, or domestic partner or
for the companion driver of a renter with a disability who cannot operate the vehicle.
CFC Customer Facility Charge (CFC) will be charged at airport locations where they apply. Please refer to your rental agreement at the time of rental.

Concession Fee/Tourism Fee - Airport concession fee and tourism assessment fee Pursuant to California law, all rentals will be charged an airport concession fee and a tourism assessment fee at the time of rental.

Road Safety Fee Customer will be charged a fee for Denver and Phoenix only.

Miles-Rental rates include unlimited miles. Vehicles mileage per gallon is based on manufactures estimates.

Extensions - To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. If vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement (contract), the rate will increase by USD/15.00 per day. The increased rate will be charged for each day after expected return date, until the vehicle is returned. Please contact the Extension Department at 1 (800) 225 - 4369. Please refer to the Early/Late Return to avoid additional fees.

Drop off - If vehicle is returned to a different office as stated on the rental agreement (contract), renter will be charged the one-way drop fee. To confirm the drop off fee prior to return, call Customer Service 1 (800) 225 - 4369.

Length of Rental - Rental agreements (contract) cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract). The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace Period - A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement (contract) at the time of rental. There is a 59 minutes grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.

Rental Requirements - All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply a valid driver license (U.S., or Country License accompanied with an International license and passport), current home address (not P.O. Box), a current home and local contact number, and second contact phone number (cell or business).

Toll Road, Payments and Fees - Renters are always financially responsible for all toll road fees. If you (A) rent or drive a car in the Northern California Bay Area, Florida, Colorado, or the State of Washington, and (B) you utilize an automated toll road (i.e., a toll road without an attendant to collect a cash toll), then you will be charged a USD/2.95 per day convenience fee for each day of the rental including any days on which the service is not used up to a maximum of USD/14.75 per rental month PLUS incurred tolls at the cash rate. YOU CAN AVOID THE CONVENIENCE FEE BY PAYING YOUR OWN TOLLS. If you do not want to pay a convenience fee, then (A) do not use automated toll roads, (B) only use toll roads that accept payment directly from you, or (C) locate local tolling services and purchase your own toll pass.

Exit LeJeune South, go to NW 7th Street, make a left on NW 7th Street and go to NW 37th Ave. Make a left onto NW 37th Ave. Continue to NW 21st Street and turn right onto NW21st St. Drive half a mile down, turn right at the first block NW 24th St Rd. FOX Rent A Car will be on your left handside.
