ALICANTE RENTAL CARS

Alicante, Spain is a beautiful city on the Mediterranean Coast that you will enjoy exploring in your rental car. Because of its history and physical beauty, this city provides both historical attractions and the opportunity to appreciate the natural world.

Once you have arrived and obtained your rental car, consider visiting the following places in Alicante:

  1. Casco Antiguo - This old, historical neighborhood allows you to experience Spain as it used to be. The village-like neighborhood is full of colorful old-style homes that the residents decorate with flowers. Its steep streets are made for meandering on foot, so it's best to find parking for your rental car before entering the neighborhood. The neighborhood is also home to many restaurants and small cafes in case you need a break or something to eat as you wander this beautiful part of Alicante.
  2. Castle of Santa Barbara - Located right on the border of Casco Antiguo is the Castle of Santa Barbara. It is a great physical example of the changing history of Spain, as it was first built in the 9th Century when much of Spain was under Muslim control, and has been part of multiple bombardments. Now open to the public, this castle sits high on a hill overlooking Alicante, and provides a beautiful site from which to view the physical beauty of the city, the countryside, the white sand beaches, and the Mediterranean. Whether you take the lift or go on foot, this is a great place to truly appreciate Spain's history and beauty.
  3. Explanada de Espana - If you feel like taking in Alicante's ambience in a relaxing way, park your rental car, and take a sunny stroll down this beautiful marble walkway. Lined with palm trees, restaurants, and shops, this path allows you to experience the city on your own terms, and on your own time.
  4. Boat Trips - If you would like to really explore the natural beauty of this city, consider driving your rental car to the port and then taking any one of the many boat trips. Some are a few hours and simply go up and down the coast next to the city, but you can also visit the nearby island of Tabarca on a day trip if you prefer.

As you can see, there is no shortage of things to do in this beautiful Spanish city! Grab your Fox rental car, and have fun!
