GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The qualified IT candidate will provide hands-on hardware and software helpdesk support to our corporate end users across multiple states. Ideal candidate must present a positive attitude and professional appearance, be a motivated self-starter, possess good communication skills (written and verbal), be a strong team player, demonstrate desire for learning new technologies, and have strong troubleshooting abilities.

The individual selected for this position located at our LAX facility will work closely with other IT team members and vendors for timely escalation and problem resolution of client reported issues related to business applications, hardware, or network systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains the corporate-wide helpdesk ticketing system, including first level response to new service tickets to track all related issues for timely correction, follow-up and closure.
Will work closely with other IT team members to proactively identify and address issues via training, automation, and preventive maintenance techniques.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional environment to manage projects from start to end.
Must be able to work well and remain professional under pressure.
Must be able to demonstrate analytical thinking and rapid problem solving skills.
Work is carried out independently, but under general supervision for accountability and performance.
This position gathers and analyzes data, performs research, uses diagnostic tools, replicates issues, reviews documentation, and runs tests to resolve problems quickly and accurately.
Participation in technical training programs and self-directed learning. Stays informed of current, new, and pending technologies that impact the supported applications and operations.
Detailed documentation of processes, steps and procedures to improve overall IT operations.
Degree in Computer Science , Management of Information Systems or related field desired (transcripts required)
Relevant IT Industry Certifications a plus
3+ years of direct experience working in a corporate environment encompassing various Microsoft technologies and networking fundamentals for support of end user initiatives
Knowledge of Car Rental industry a plus
Previous experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) is a plus
Strong demonstrated experience in supporting desktops, laptops, laser printers, large multi-function printers, thermal barcode printers, scanners, barcode scanners, mobile devices, smart phones and devices, Wi-Fi, security equipment (access entry , cameras, etc.), and Document Imaging Systems
Strong understating of desktop operating systems (XP and Windows 7) as well as various software programs
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications
Experience in using a Helpdesk based ticketing system and Remote Support software
Experience in using an imaging \ cloning software
Strong knowledge of Wired and Wireless technologies
Strong knowledge of networking concepts
Ability to diagnose and resolve networking conflicts by proper use of procedures to troubleshoot issues
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Enterprise Security, SSL VPN and TCP/IP
Experience in supporting a Citrix and Wyse terminal environment is ideal
Knowledge of Active Directory, File Share, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SharePoint, Cloud Computing, Hyper-V, and VMware a plus
Experience configuring end user telecomm systems a plus
On-going maintenance of Symantec Endpoint anti-virus to protect end user systems
Ensuring client systems are regularly patched with the latest Microsoft and other updates
Good understanding of interconnected devices, security threats, and safe practices
Working closely with Finance to maintain process for managing the hardware and software inventory
Maintaining the software inventory and ensuring applications are within compliance
Proper On-boarding and Off-boarding of personnel by creating \ deleting AD and Exchange accounts, telephone extension, working with procurement in purchase of system and end-user IT orientation
User training via formal / informal presentation and documentation
Documentation of processes and procedures
Strong attention to details, highly organized with discretion and ability to handle confidential issues
Ability to support IT corporate requirements outside the normal business hours including weekends as well as participation in on-call rotation to assist with afterhours support
Ability to travel as needed to support corporate and remote offices
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to move or lift heavy equipment
